Mobile Checkout Optimization
Streamlining the mobile checkout experience for an e-commerce platform to reduce cart abandonment.

Problem
Problem
Mobile traffic accounted for a large portion of site visits, but a smaller percentage of completed purchases. The checkout flow was a direct port of the desktop experience, requiring excessive scrolling, form-filling, and navigation between screens. Cart abandonment on mobile was significantly higher than the desktop rate.
Approach
Approach
I led a mobile-first redesign of the entire checkout flow. We consolidated screens, introduced autofill and address lookup, and added Apple Pay and Google Pay as one-tap options. I designed a persistent progress indicator and a floating summary card that kept key information visible throughout the flow.

Outcome
Outcome
The optimized mobile checkout increased mobile conversion and reduced cart abandonment. Average checkout time on mobile dropped. The changes contributed to an increase in overall revenue within the first quarter.
